Thanks as always for stopping by – I know life is so busy these days, but as we pause to intentionally build one another up in faith, hope, and love, we all become stronger as the people of God. A body cannot be healthy unless each member does its job! Let’s be faithful with what the Lord has entrusted to each of us – a measure of grace and a portion of His Spirit. I hope to see you found faithful on the Day when He returns and requires an account of what you did with His investment. 😎

In this post I’ll share three dreams the Lord has given me in recent months which apply to the wider church. They address divided, schismatic worship, entertainment-driven ministries, and a lack of fruit found by the Lord among those who claim His name. Let’s ask the Lord to speak our hearts (mine included) so that we would both hear and do what He’s saying to us!

Divided Worship, Exalted Against the Knowledge of God

In this dream, among other things specific to my own personal correction and direction, I saw myself driving from my grandparents house to the town I currently live in – about a 30 minute drive. As I was driving away from my grandparents house, I looked left out my window and saw an extremely high pole (like a telephone pole) covered in road direction signs at its top. I looked closely at the direction signs and saw something very detailed.

Different signs were pointing in different directions, and there were many of them. Each sign pointed in a different direction, and they each had a label. Each label was a different denomination or sect. And beside those sects, there were also names of cults written. These signs were pointing various sects and denominations toward the places where they ought to worship. I was shocked at how high up and exalted this pole was (2 Cor. 10:4-6). Once I had seen the signs on the pole, I kept driving toward where I live and continued on.

Do you understand what this dream means? Listen to what the Spirit may be saying to you. If you have ears that hear, then hear:

We have inherited divided, localized, schismatic worship by the tradition of our fathers rather than by the commandment of God in Jesus Christ (Mark 7:5-13). It is akin to the witchcraft and sorcery of cults, for “Rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft” (1 Sam. 15:23). It is high and exalted against the knowledge of God and it therefore must be cut down, because the Lord is worthy to receive the reward He paid for in His own blood – a people “made perfectly one,” who love Him more than they love the degenerate, worthless teachings of wolves.

“All too well you reject the commandment of God, that you may keep your tradition” (Mark 7:9). For the Lord said, “Every kingdom divided against itself cannot stand,” and He asked the Father that His people would be made “perfectly one.” Further, He said that the time was coming, and now is, that we would worship neither here nor there, neither in Jerusalem nor in Samaria, neither at Summit nor at Grace – but that the true worshippers would worship God “in spirit and in truth.” But all too well, many of you have forsaken the commandments of Christ that you may keep your tradition and pad your pockets.

Woe to the shepherds, who divide the sheep and feed off the flock!

“And many other such things you do” (Mark 7:13).

Entertainment-Driven Ministries

In this dream, I quickly snuck onto an extremely large plane that I did not have a ticket for. Once in the plane, I was struck by what I saw: I saw extremely luxurious swivel seats, like on a luxury yacht. The plane itself was huge inside, like an auditorium. I looked out the front window and saw that we were parked at a movie theatre and commerce center. I saw one person at the front who was speaking, and everyone was paying attention only to the person at the front. I was sitting quietly and unnoticed in the back left of the plane.

Just to my right, a very gentle, quiet stream of water ran through the plane; but no one paid attention to it – they were all fixated on the person at the front. Further to my right, on the right hand side of the plane, I saw a popcorn and snack kiosk stand. We took off, and once in the air, I got out of my seat and walked around to explore.

Eventually, I followed some folks out back and saw myself standing in a basketball court. I noticed how high up in the atmosphere we were and I noticed that the clouds and sky were all so dark. It was only then that I noticed that some men of a foreign adversarial country were in charge of the plane. We beheld the basketball courts, and then walked back into the auditorium-like area.

Once inside, I heard one of the men in charge whisper to another that, essentially, their army had taken back land that belonged to my country. Immediately I grabbed one of the men by the neck and slammed him up against a wall (Gen. 49:8), but I eventually let him go. I had realized that this plane was governed by an enemy kingdom.

Consider: What is the Spirit saying to the people of God through this dream?

The plane represents a common type of ministry today, and the elevation into the atmosphere allows us to see the spiritual realities behind these types of ministries. The seats represent the spiritual arrogance of those who join in, treating the faith as a spectator sport and just another movie to watch. The luxury of the seats represents the lucrative but perverted financial nature of these ministries – that those who join pay hefty financial price tags, but the leaders hoard the money to themselves rather than dispersing it to those who are in need (Acts 2:44-45).

The singular person up front represents the modern confusion regarding the priesthood of all believers – as many think that only a select, elite few are called to engage in ministry (when in reality, we all are). The snack kiosk represents the fact that the people receive horrible spiritual nutrition from these ministries, and the leaders parading the basketball courts represent both the people-pleasing nature of these ministries as well as the fact that these ministries cause people to see the faith as if it were a game.

The servant of the Lord will call these ministry leaders and participants to repent. Entertainment-driven ministries fueled by people-pleasing are not governed by the Lord – they are governed by darkness. Even in the midst of these ministries, the Lord is quietly present as a gentle stream, but unfortunately, almost no one seems to be paying attention to Him.

Let’s fervently repent of turning the faith into a spectator sport and instead actively engage in following the Lord. 😎🗡️🔥

A Lack of Fruit Found

In this dream, I saw myself shout: “Repentance must start here!” From there, I walked through a house and saw those who represent professing disciples. I saw three things in particular:

First, I saw pop-tarts and junk food on the counter. I continued on and, second, saw a cocktail mixer shaken and prepared. Third, I heard in another room as professing disciples set up yet another TV to watch.

Do you understand what the Lord is saying in this dream?

The people are eating junk food from entertainment-driven ministries and therefore have no sustaining nourishment. They are caught up in debauchery and wastefulness, celebrating when they ought to be repenting, and they are ever-consumed in more and more self-fulfilling entertainment. And the Lord has not found fruit among them.

Therefore, let us all – myself included – bear fruits worthy of repentance (Matt. 3:8):

“A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard, and he came seeking fruit on it and found none. Then he said to the keeper of his vineyard, ‘Look, for three years I have come seeking fruit on this fig tree and find none. Cut it down; why does it use up the ground?’

But he answered and said to him, ‘Sir, let it alone this year also, until I dig around it and fertilize it. And if it bears fruit, well. But if not, after that you can cut it down.’”

Luke 13:6-9

Understand that schismatic, divided worship is one of the offspring of the harlot of Babylon (Rev. 17:5), and judgment is coming against her “in a day…in an hour.”

“Come out of her, My people, lest you share in her sins and receive of her plagues. For her sins have reached to heaven, and God has remembered her iniquities.”

Revelation 18:4-5

And may the Lord touch His people with healing, even any who read this, from all the harm they have received from the ministers of Babylon.
